Pataphysics/Slugbug - Split 7"$5.00 Release Date:
1/21/12
$5.00 The four songs of "nervous white man music" on this split 45 are loaded with squiggly synthesizers, twitching rhythms, and neurotic hiccuping vocals. It's New Wave for the 22nd century--armed and ready for the next Zolo revolution--full of spazz and pizzazz. Limited edition of 250 on randomly mixed colored vinyl. //Tense// - TV Teach Me 7"$5.00 Release Date:
10/31/11
$5.00 Houston EBM/Industrial genius Bobby Lane visited the AMR studio a while back and recorded a couple sides. We now present them to you in a limited pressing of 250 on randomly mixed colored vinyl. The A-side layers sophisticated analog pads over Tense's heavy digital beat. The flip is spare and intense attack of drums and bass, verging on synthpunk. The tension is so thick on this record it may cause you to lose control--once and for all. Low Red Center 7" sold out, Silent Diane 7" in short supply. While you might be able to find copies in Austin record stores, we have sold all of our Low Red Center 7"s. Silent Diane singles are in very short supply (only five copies as I type this). Next up on AMR is a split by local new wavers, Pataphysics and Slugbug. Last copies of Low Red Center 7" in limited edition covers. The limited pressing of the Low Red Center 7" is almost sold out. The final 22 copies have special semi-opaque vellum covers, photocopied from the original illustration by Juan Cisneros. In other news, the Os Ovni 7" is a month away. The band will be touring on the West Coast in November. Our limited pressing of the Silent Diane 7" is dwindling in stock. They will be heading to the East Coast in October. After Os Ovni's debut, AMR plans to release a split 7" by Austin weirdos Pataphysics and Slugbug. Expect an odd avalanche of twitchy, synth drenched art wave. Following the split, we will release the third foray into vinyl territory by Houston's //TENSE//. Produced at the AMR synthetic chateau, this might be the most powerful outing yet for Bobby and Mariana, who will be touring with Nitzer Ebb this fall. Also look for an AMR-produced cassette by Cellophane Spill on Night People records in November. This first CS release features aggressively demented electronics and mutated Zaum vocals by a former Zom Zom. How I Quit Crack - Gone Away 7"$5.00 Release Date:

It lays lush veneer over a caterwauling noisescape; the synthesizer syrup is poured over cavernous drum machine echoes, narrated in a whisper |
